Overview

Tree & Palm Trimming Done Right

Palms and trees in Southwest Florida grow fast, hold a lot of weight, and sit closer to roofs, signage and parking than anyone planned for. Left alone they become a storm liability, a code problem, or both. H&M Prestige Lawn Care trims palms and prunes trees on a schedule that keeps properties safe and presentable without damaging the plant.

We work on single residential properties and on commercial sites where clearance over drive lanes, visibility of signage and entrance sightlines all matter to the owner. Debris is chipped or hauled, and the site is left clean.

Tree & Palm Trimming · FAQ

Common Questions

How often should palms be trimmed in Southwest Florida?

Most palms do well with one or two trims a year. Species matters — some drop fronds cleanly on their own and need very little, while others hold dead fronds and heavy seed pods that are worth removing for safety. We will tell you honestly if a palm does not need the work yet.

Do you do hurricane cuts?

No, and we would steer you away from one. Stripping a palm back to a few upright fronds is popular before storm season and it genuinely weakens the tree — the fronds are how it feeds itself, and an over-pruned palm is more vulnerable to wind, not less. We remove what is dead, hanging or hazardous and leave the healthy canopy in place.

Can you trim trees near the roof or over a driveway?

Yes. Clearance work over structures, drive lanes and parking is routine for us, and on commercial properties we schedule it around business hours and customer traffic.

Do you handle tree removal and stumps?

We handle removals and lot clearing as part of our land clearing work. For trimming jobs where a tree turns out to be dead or unsafe, we will tell you and quote the removal separately rather than trimming something that should come out.

Is trimming covered if I have a code enforcement notice?

Often yes. Overgrowth, branches blocking a right of way and dead trees are common citations. We complete the work to the deadline on the notice and document it for re-inspection.

When is the best time to book?

Before storm season rather than after. Pre-season trimming is scheduled work at a scheduled price; post-storm work competes with every other property on the street.
