Trimming, pruning, removals and new installation — the work that keeps palms and trees from becoming a storm liability or a code problem.
Trees and palms are where deferred maintenance turns expensive. An unmaintained palm is a storm liability and, in most Southwest Florida municipalities, overgrowth across a right of way is a citation waiting to happen. Neither problem announces itself until it is urgent.
H&M Prestige Lawn Care handles palm trimming, structural and clearance pruning, hanger and leaner removal, tree and palm installation, and full lot clearing for commercial, association and residential properties. On maintained accounts this is scheduled proactively; on new properties it is usually the first thing that needs correcting.
A note on how we trim: we do not strip palms back to a handful of upright fronds. The practice is common before storm season and it weakens the tree — the canopy is how a palm feeds itself. We remove what is dead, hanging or hazardous and leave the healthy fronds in place.
Handled by dedicated crews with commercial-grade equipment, on a schedule you can plan around.
Dead fronds, seed pods and fruit removed — trimmed to the plant's health, never scalped.
Structural and clearance pruning for canopy shape, airflow and long-term health.
Broken limbs hung in the canopy, trees leaning after wind, and safe removal of problem trees.
Branches off roofs, gutters, signage and drive lanes; entrance visibility on commercial sites.
A walk of the property covering tree and palm health, structure, clearance over buildings and drives, and anything hazardous.
We separate what is urgent — safety, storm risk, an open code notice — from what can be scheduled, so the work fits a budget.
Completed by crews with the right equipment for the property, scheduled around business hours on commercial sites.
Debris chipped or hauled, drives and walks blown off, and completed work photographed where it is needed for a file or a re-inspection.
Most do well with one or two trims a year, though it varies by species — some shed cleanly on their own and genuinely do not need annual work. We will tell you when a palm can wait.
No. Stripping a palm to a few upright fronds before storm season is popular and it weakens the tree rather than protecting it. We remove dead, hanging and hazardous material and leave the healthy canopy.
Yes. Overgrowth and dead or encroaching trees are among the most common citations, and we schedule to the date on the notice and document the work for re-inspection.
We handle removals and full lot clearing. If a tree we were asked to trim turns out to be dead or unsafe, we will say so and quote the removal separately rather than trim something that should come out.
Before storm season. Pre-season work is scheduled at a scheduled price; post-storm work competes with every other property in the county.
